Battery Maintenance

Chapter 8 · Manual page 319

DO NOT leave electrical appliances switched on for a long time when the vehicle is not in READY mode, the battery may become flat, causing failure to start the power system, and reduction of the battery’s service life.

LVBM has a built-in battery management system, thus it is prohibited to dismantle the battery to avoid damage to the LVBM or cause personal injury.

Disconnect the LVBM negative battery cable before part replacement and vehicle repair/maintenance.

If the LVBM is charged using a professional device, the charging current should not exceed twice the rated capacity and the charging voltage should not exceed 14.4V. In addition, since the LVBM needs to communicate with the vehicle before it will work correctly and charged safely and quickly, it is important to ensure that connectors and harnesses are connected correctly and securely.

Do not remove the LVBM for charging without authorization. The vehicle is equipped with a 12V low-voltage lithium battery system, referred to as LVBM, which is maintenance-free and located in the loadspace.

Illustration: Battery Maintenance When the HV power battery is fully charged, the vehicle can charge the LVBM through the HV battery to extend the LVBM endurance. Depending on the current load condition and the status of the battery, the system may limit the power of some electrical appliances, please set the vehicle to READY mode as soon as possible to charge the LVBM, and keep the vehicle powered for 1 - 2 hours.

It is recommended to set the vehicle into READY mode for half an hour every week to help extend the service life of the battery. If the vehicle is stored for a long period of time (more than 1 month), remove the negative cable from the battery. Make sure that the vehicle is powered off before connecting or disconnecting the negative battery cable.
