Wading
Chapter 7 · Manual page 308
Like other vehicles, wading will not cause a greater risk to your vehicle. Appropriate insulated protective equipment must be worn when handling any water-logged vehicle.
- The driver, passengers and irrelevant personnel must move away from the vehicle immediately.
- Any damaged metal live conductors of high-voltage components must not be touched during rescue to prevent possible injuries due to electric shock.
- If there is no hissing or foaming from the high-voltage battery pack of the water-logged vehicle, it can be salvaged by a professional agency.
- After salvaging, the high voltage system on the vehicle must be isolated immediately, and the vehicle placed in an open area for isolation.
- When recovering the vehicle, it must not be directly towed and must be transported by a rescue vehicle.
- After rescue, the damaged vehicle and high-voltage battery pack must be handled correctly and by qualified personnel, contact an Authorised Repairer for advice on process and disposal.
