Emergency Hazard Warning Strobe (HAZ)

Chapter 4 · Manual page 213

If the driver makes an emergency braking manoeuvre and certain conditions are met while driving, the brake lamps will automatically strobe to alert the drivers behind, thereby reducing the chances of rear-end collisions. Note: With the hazard warning lamps turned on, the hazard warning strobe (HAZ) will not function. After the HAZ is activated, when the emergency braking manoeuvre is exited, the HAZ will be switched off after a few seconds. Note: If the vehicle speed is less than 6.21mph (10 km/h) when the brake light strobe stops, the hazard warning lamps will illuminate automatically. Short press the hazard warning lamp switch or increase the speed to above 12.43mph (20 km/h) for more than 5s to turn off the hazard warning lamps.
