Instructions for Recycling High-Voltage Battery Packs

Chapter 1 · Manual page 15

The high-voltage battery pack is installed in the chassis of the car and contains many lithium battery cells. Improper disposal may cause environmental pollution and harm. Please be sure to refer to the following information or requirements for recycling and disposal by the manufacturer.

  • Personnel Requirements: Any dismantling or recycling of batteries must only be carried out by qualified professionals.
  • High Voltage Safety: The high-voltage battery pack installed in the vehicle contains high-voltage components such as lithium battery modules and high-voltage wiring harnesses. Do not attempt to dismantle any part of this system. Repair work must be carried out by trained professionals with proper insulation safety protection in place.
  • Transportation: The high-voltage battery pack is classified as Class 9 dangerous goods and must be transported by transportation companies with relevant qualification in each country.
  • Storage: Removed high-voltage components (including the high-voltage battery pack) should be stored in a normal temperature, dry environment, away from flammable materials, heat sources, water sources, and other hazards.
  • Internal Composition: The high-voltage battery pack consists of a series of components such as lithium batteries (modules), circuit boards, high and low voltage wiring harnesses, and a metal casing. It is strongly recommended that the used high-voltage battery pack generated from vehicle scrappage or any other reasons should be disposed of by an Authorised Repairer. Note: If you decide not to use the recommended Authorised Repairer to dispose of your high voltage battery, the responsibility of the consequences of environmental pollution or accidents must be bourne by the owner.
